If you are interested in photography, of the digital or film varieties, check out the new series being syndicated on PBS called Independent Lens.
This show sometimes focuses on one photographer and his or her works. Other shows have one to three shorter photo essays. Although all the work is done by video cameras, the photographers take exceptional efforts to simulate the framing/composition that a still photographer would want. Whether you are interested in the specific program’s topic, watch the show to be amazed at the images.
In Baton Rouge, Independent Lens is found on Channel 12 (Louisiana Public Broadcasting) on: Wednesday at 3am-4am and Sunday at 3am-4am and 10pm-11pm
This is a good show to record for watching later — not only because of its broadcast times but also for the ability to back up and take another look at the video’s composition.
